Magnolia

There’s a moment in time where you realize that your memory isn’t as sharp as it used to be. The mental image you held has faded away, and you forget what the kitchen you grew up in looked like, the faces of those who sat beside you at the dinner table, and who gave you the film cameras you work with now.

Magnolia is a letter to a future me, a photographic reminder of the people and places that have molded me into the person taking these photographs, for the person whose memory is fading. Documenting here and now, the intimacy that is quiet but always present, in closeness and in space.
